The Sail and Nutrition project combines the two in a healthy and fun environment.
The sea has positive effects on our psyche as well as allowing us to carry out physical activities while having fun.
The professional nutritionist on board, and the balanced diet we have established, will allow you to benefit of this cruise to the full.
Processed foods, stress, pollution and lack of physical activities are the root cause of chronic inflammation, causing weight gain, metabolic dysfunctions, chronic tiredness, depression and some diseases such as type 2 diabetes, the metabolic syndrome and some neoplasia.
A healthy and balanced diet, together with physical activity and keeping your mind free of daily stress, may help contain the development of these pathologies. Life on board is ideal for this and there are immediate visible benefits, and we aim to reach a perfect mind/body balance.
A healthy lifestyle, together with sailing against the beautiful Mediterranean backdrop, will get you in shape and in a good mood.
HOW DOES THE COURSE UNFOLD
Once your enrolment is confirmed, each participant will be sent a questionnaire concerning eating habits, sports, age, gender, height, weight, allergies, medication, and illnesses. This information will be sent to our nutritionist, guaranteed by privacy laws and professional secret. We need this information to establish the menus and ensure you are physically able to be on board.
Meals will have a balance between calorie intake and nutritional need, based on activities and any specific possible needs.
When the cruise starts, there will be a complete nutritional evaluation, and our nutritionist will always be onboard. He will be available to discuss in depth nutrition queries, making you more aware of the role of food in the well-being of mind and body. He will also showcase its importance in the prevention of chronic and non transmissible pathologies such as the metabolical syndrome, diabetes, obesity, cancer and other degenerative pathologies.

CALENDAR OF EVENTS 2019
The boarding and disembarking dates are those of English Sailing in June and July, as one of the yachts will be dedicated to Nutrivela. In addition to which, there are April and May dates. The dates below may still change and are exclusively for Nutrivela.
